Rides

We offer a wide variety of rides throughout the year with the length and pace adjusted to take account of the seasonal changes to the trails. Our regular monthly Open Rides take place on the dates below, with details of location and leader posted separately on the website home page as we go through the year. Monthly Open Rides give members a fixed calendar of rides for 2015 in addition to the rides posted in the Local and Away Rides sections of the Forum and on our Facebook page. They are the only rides open to prospective members to come and try out the club before joining. All dates are Sundays unless otherwise stated:

26th April

17th May

28th June led by Gary Collet

16th August

20th September led by David Wale

18th October

15th November led by Simon North

Saturday, 19th December led by the new captain

Members Rides: individual members post their favourite rides on Facebook and the Forum for Summit members to join and ride. The majority are based in the Chilterns and are held on either Saturday or Sunday morning, typically between 2 and 3 hours depending on the season and are normally at a moderate pace, with plenty of regrouping. Additionally, there are usually one or two night rides each week from fixed locations in Seer Green and Downley. Members also organise away rides at locations such as Swinley Forest, the North Downs and occasionally south or north Wales trail centres plusclassic ride locations such as the Quantocks.

Social Rides: new this year are monthly social rides on Saturday mornings to coincide with our Go Ride children's sessions. We meet at 10.00 at Lotts Wood, near Hyde Heath and ride at a steady pace into Amersham for a coffee, before riding back to the start for 12.00 midday.

9th Feb Meet at Saunderton

This is a Club Ride lead by your Captain will be from Saunderton station -
But the route is still to be decided either:

The Phoenix Trail to Thame
or
The Off-Road Original around Hughenden and West Wycombe

Due to the amount of surface water saturation the Phoenix Trail going from Princes Risborough to Thame.
may be the only sensible option
It  is more on-track than off-road and very flat being a disused railway line but still enjoyable with no cars.

For those that just want to get out and do something, why not  bring your spouse, children, dog whatever.
Having a Refreshment stop in Thame could be a possibility.

All are welcome  :) .

Meet time 9:15 meet for a 9:30 start

All are welcome  :) .
